About Lieberman Solicitors

Lieberman solicitor was established in 2005 by its principal Neil Lieberman. Educated at York University where he graduated in Economics and Leeds Metropolitan University where he obtained an LLB and carried out his post-graduate legal training, Neil Lieberman qualified as a solicitor at R.C. Moorhouse & Co, Leeds in 1992. He was made a partner in October 1993.

Practicising from York, Lieberman conducts civil litigation concentrating mainly on contentious insolvency. Lieberman acts for office holders, directors and creditors as well as debtors. Lieberman also advises on partnership and shareholder disputes as well as claims concerning breach of contract and professional negligence.

Lieberman has successfully brought actions in respect of wrongful trading, preferences, tranasactions at undervalue and other voidable transactions as well cases involving breach of fiduciary duty. Judgements for wrongful trading have resulted in recovery for creditors in excess of £240,000. A recent judgement in respect of breach of duty by directors has resulted in a judgment of over £16million.
